- Editor's Notes
- Your letter of April 30th to hand. I have reported to Mr. Edison the fact of your success and rapid progress you have made. Regarding your arrangements with the French Edison Company, as mentioned in my letter of May 6th, any arrangements that you make with the French Edison Co. will of course be subject to the approval of Mr. Dyer. So for as I know there is no reason why the arrangements proposed is not thoroughly a proper one. I have just communicated with Mr. Edison by telephone and he says, he sees no objection to your letting the French Co. have the use of two phonographs , provided there is no charge for admission made by the French Company. He also directs that whatever is done should be absolutely under your direction. Regarding the signs the French Edison Co. wish to put up and having a man to represent them in your space, this is something that you should have Mr. Dyer's approval of, as he is more directly concerned. Considering the relations that exist between the Edison Co. and this company, I sec no reason why Dyer should not approve of having the French Co's name appear on signs such as you mention. Yours very truly,
