Title
[D8955AAC], Letter from Franck Zeveley Maguire to Alfred Ord Tate, January 18th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Dear Tate: I send by express today two receiving diaphragms which are in bad shape. We have been unable to prevent them from scratching, and I thought I would send them to you and have them either fixed up or have you send us new ones. I would be much indebtd if you would return these at the earliest possible moment, because we are badly in need of them. I asked Wangeman to get up a box of new musical cylinders for me and he would send them over to 160 Broadway. I telegraphed to Walter Miller over there and instructed him to send them to me at the Grand Pacific Hotel. I have not received them yet, and I shall be very much embrassed without them.##I wish to mention to you privately that I notice on the end of all Wangeman's cylinders a peculiar musical trade mark like this: [image] I think that on the end of an operatic selection particularly this musical trade mark is a little out of place.
