- My dear Mr Tate Enclosed plase find reserved seat ticket for entertainment to be given at Commonwealth Hotel on Thursday Evening 12th inst when the Phonograph is expected to talk out very loud "in meeting." It will be assisted by some excellent artists one of whom Mr Thos Davison of London Eng is a perfect genius in his whistling and imitations of the warbling of birds. There will be a number of novelties in connection with the Phonograph.##Mr Marshall who is to have charge of the performance will be out to Laboratory on Wednesday morning and I will give him a note to you in accepting your kind offer at the Christ Church fair to let me have some real good cylinders. I have sent tickets to Mr Edison and trust that he will come Perhaps you can induce him. Very truly yours L. E. Evans [PS] will hold #14 until Thursday eve in case you wish to take some one
