- [D8958AAE], Letter from Julius H Block to Charles Batchelor, August 24th, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- Thanking Batchelor for his kindness and unlimited hospitality for his days visit at the Edison Laboratory and he'll never forget it. He mentions that there will be no difficulty in the slightest degree to work the instrument perfectly. He's still waiting on the 2 boxes of the cylinders, the battery and the funnels, making the Phonograph complete. And when he gets the battery he'll look into it, he attached the largest size of the Gennet cell and was disappointed because it worked 1 hour the first time and only 20 minutes the second and the power gave way. He also asks to know the solution that he uses in it.
