Editor's Notes
[ENCLOSURE; from Paris] "I learn that you are placing doll contracts in Paris and intend to place them on the market here very soon. ## I desire to notify you that I shall contest your right to ignore the contract you made with me and which you never gave me the doll promised in accordance with our verbal understanding so as to be able to carry out the contract. I have previously notified you by letter that I was ready to carry out the terms of the contract if you would send me a doll as promised. I also have Mr. Briggs' letter explaining the delay in sending the dolls. ## I have plaed the case in the hands of John Dos Passos Mills Building NY City and refer you to him for the course you decide to take in the matter. I did not seek your business and shall use every means in my power both here and in New York to resist the attempt to ignore the understanding made with me."
