Title
[D8964ADK], Letter from Dyer and Seely to Edison Phonograph Toy Manufacturing Co, October 19th, 1889
Editor's Notes
[enclosure to D8964ADJ] Copy Gentlemen:-- An application fo Mr Edison for the new toy phonograph invented by him before he went to Europe has been allowed by the Patent Office. It covers a large number of improvement in the constuction of the toy machine and Mr. Edison has suggested to us that you may wish to arrange for taking out foreign patents on it before the patents are issued in this Country. We have now nearly six months in which to do this but if you wish to do anything in the matter you should proceed at once, so as not to delay the issue of the patent here any longer than is necessary. We enclose a copy of the claims allowed in this country and also our office copy of the drawing so that you can see whatt he device is. Please return the traicing when you have examined it. Yours truly (Signed) Dyer and Seeley.
