[D8968AAP], Letter from W R Wills to Charles Batchelor, October 7th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Waltham Oct. 7th 1889####Mr. Batchelor####Dear Sir####Enclosed 9####Send you a few shimond splints which Ballou needs for turning the sapphire, they are the same that I use for the same that I use for the same purpose they may look a little thin but if well bedded in Shellac he will find that it is better than to solder them.####I will send some more of the Sapphire today or tomorrow, I am in hopes to get that which I ordered from abroad in a few days, but they move so slow in that part of the world that it is impossible to make any deffinite statement inr regard to them. I will however try to keep you supplied until I get the foreign supply. Please keep me informed in regard to the garmet & if you decide to use it, let me know so that I can get it out in season. On my return home after seeing you I found my battery had comptely collapsed. I put in a new charge just before I left home, it worked very well for one evening & then "played out" I shall therefore ask you to please send me some new zine & copper plates I am sorry to trouble you but I know of no other place that I can get them, I am under the necessity of sending to you, I will return the old ones if it is worth while.####Yours truly####W.R. Wills####Please remember me with kind regards to Mr Edison.####[name mentions: W.R. Wills, Chas Batcehlor, George Ballou, Thos Edison]
