[D8970AAK], Letter from E T Copeland, New York Safety Steam Power Co to Alfred Ord Tate, January 21st, 1889
Editor's Notes
Dear Sir: Yours of 21st by messenger is in hand and your ocmminucation by wire of this morning, was duly received.##The Smoke Stack will have to be 21 1-2'' diameter in order to give you the full benefit of the Boiler capacity. We will make this stack 30 feet high, with proper appurtenanes for fastening when in position. We will supply a suitable Steam Pump. Nothing else remains to be said excepting that our men made a trop to your place Friday, which was only partially useful, because the Boiler foundations were not ready for Boiler to be erected upon. Before they go out again, it would be well for you to let us know that the brick work is copmleted, as it is an expensive and unnecessary trip for our men to make, when made in vain. We can send out any time you please to call for the mechanics to come along, either by telegraph or by letter. Yours truly, New York Safety Steam Power Co. E.T. Copeland Gen'l Agt
