Dear Mr. Edison
May Meadowcraft use your name as stated in this application?
If agreeable, will you kindly sign your name at the bottom of the first page where it is traced in lead pencil?
The only Notary we have in our office is just leaving, so we are now absolutely without any. We use your name instead of ours because we think that the chances of getting the appointment are better if your name is used.
Very truly yours,
S.B. Eaton
