New York Mar 4 1892 Dear Edison I had a talk with Hudson about the battery immediately after receiving your letter. He said he would look into the matter, and afternoon I reported that your battery had been sent over to Boston for experiment with the Blake Transmitter and that his people were to be ready yet to make their [illegible]. He says all he wants is the best battery, and that the Western Electric’s shall stand mostly on its merits. I hope to get over to see you today on my way to Washington but, cannot find time. I will try to on my way back. I assure you that I will do everything in my power to promote your interests in this matter. Yours truly, W.W. Swan Received Mar 5-1892
