Letterhead of Brevoort House New York Mar 4 1892 Dear Edison I had a talk with Hudson about the battery immediately after receiving your letter. He said he would look into the matter, and afterwards reported that your battery had been sent over to Boston for experiments with the Blake Transmitter and that his people were not ready yet to make their report. He says all he wants is the best battery, and that the Western Electric’s shall stand wholly on its merits. I hope to get over to see you today on my way to Washington, but cannot find time. I will try to on my way back. I assure you that I will do everything in my power to promote your interests in this matter. Yours truly W.W. Swan T A. Edison Sr
