New York July 11, 1892 Received Jul 12 1892 Dear Edison: The decision of the Philadelphia people not to buy the electric light and railway plant & co at Schenectady, whereby I was to receive about $8,000, compels me to sell something else. I must either sell New York Illuminating Co. or New Jersey & Pennsylvania Conc Works. Of the latter I hold 25 shares which have cost me $3,000. The first 10 shares cost me $1,500, and the other 15 shares have cost me $100 each, total $3,000. If I decide to sell N.J. & P. Conc. Works, do you care to buy it, and what will you give? I hate to sell it. Sincerely yours, S.B. Eaton [TAE Marginalia] Dyer Here is a chance. I’ll take it Dyer
