Orange N.J. May 7th 1892 Thos. A. Edison Esq Orange N.J. Dear Sir:- I beg to advise you that we have three notes which fall due May 19 1892 for $13799.95/100 which settles all the notes which you have out expecting the two large notes for $70,000 and the other for $50000.00/100. You also owe Mrs. eEdison a 2% dividend on 1900 shares of Edison General Electric Co. Stock which you have belonging to her and dividend on same was due on May 1 1892 of $3800.00/100 I would also like very much to get from you $5000.00/100 to pay off some old account on the Laboratory Books as we have paid no accounts to speak of for a long time as about the only money we have received was the $1200 from the Edison General Elec Co.- which was used about all up for Pay Rolls- The amount due Mrs. Edison $3800 we should pay in order to enable her to pay the house bill and which she is entitled to. I would like if agreeable to you to have you sign the enclosed letter to Messrs Woerishoffer and Co for Notes due May 19 13799.95 Due Mrs. Edison 3800.00 Lady Bills 5000.00 Total 22599.95 Yours truly John F.
