Dear Sir:- In answer to the question contained in your letter to Mr. Edison of the 6th instant, he says that a Cyclopedia of Electricity, like the one proposed, is [illegible] badly; and he adds: “But please remember the ninety-five percent of the [illegible] [illegible] need it are not mathematicians and [illegible] all [illegible] stated in plain English: the mathematical proofs can be kept in the Astor Library.” Yours very truly, Private Secretary.
