Dear Sir:- In further reply to your recent favor I beg to enclose herewith a Statement showing the saving effected by Mr. Edison’s improvements from January 1st to September 30th, 1892, the one fifth (1/5) part of which is $3,383.58. I also enclose a Statement showing the average cost of Carbons for the two (2) years ending August 31, 1892 and Statement showing saving effected by Mr. Edison’s improvements on one million (1,000,000) lamps. This, you will notice, is for the year ending September 30, 1892 and is made up on the basis of our Cost Sheet and taking the current market price of Platinum as the first of each month.
