New York, May 31, 1892 Thomas A. Edison, Esq., Dear Sir: Please find enclosed four original patents on electric railway inventions, which Mr. Vansize has procured on applications prepared by himself as subdivisions of your very early applications still pending. Vansize though that your early applications had not been subdivided and manipulated as much as they advantageously would be, and the result of his work justifies that opinion. He still has other subdivided applications in the Office. Please return the enclosed four original patents without fail, and I send an envelope herewith for that purpose. Very truly yours, S.B. Eaton Enclosures: Four original patents The four patents referred to returned to Major Eaton June 4th 92 by mail.
