Fort Myers, Fla. July 27th, 1892 Mr. Thos. A. Edison Dear Sir, I have seen by [illegible word] this day 2(?) boxes of mangoes from trees in your place, do [illegible words] if you like the fruits but would like to see something that grew on your place. I picked them green, did not like [illegible words] the wish of sending ripe fruits for fear they would not [illegible word]. Hope they may reach you in good [illegible word], and you may like them. Your trees are doing well, the bamboo [illegible word] branches-and doing finely. Some 40 [illegible words]. I hope you & your good Lady may come down this winter & see the improvements & suggest other trees & when you would like to have them [illegible words]. Please advise of any thing you may wish with regard to the place.
