Letterhead Lowry Stone V Auerbach Oct. 28th, 1892. Dear Mr. Edison:- Commodore Cheever tells me that he has been referring with you concerning the future of the phonograph business, that there is a possibility of his connecting himself with the North American Company in some way. I hope very much this will be brought about, for in the past he has given a great deal of his time to the exploitation of the Phonograph business, with little or no return to himself, his connection with the Company resulting in loss of money and time; but I think setting with you under the new plans will be able to show his ability in working out the problem. If you can manage that he be associated with the business, I shall resend it as a personal favor. Very truly yours. [Signed]
