Dear Sir:-
On September 30th 1890, you subscribed 297 90/100 shares of Metropolitan Phonograph Company stock, in a Pool managed by yourself and Mr. Samuel Insull, and consisting of the following persons:
T.A. Edison 297 90/100 Shs.
R.L. Cutting 297 90/100 “
S. Insull 198 60/10 “
John Kruesi, 83 92/100 “
S.B. Eaton 57 34/100 “
E.H. Lewis 57 34/100 “
Total 993
Mr. Insull now desires to close up the Pool and I accordingly beg to hand you herewith, Certificate No. 319 for 100 shares, Certificate No. 320 for 100 shares and Certificates No. 321 for 98 shares, a total of 298 shares, the same being your portion of stock in the Pool.
In return for this stock I would ask you to kindly send me the Trust Receipt which you now hold, having the same endorsed in blank.
