Dear Mr. Edison:
I take pleasure in extending to you a special invitation to attend the reunion of the Old Time Telegraphers and society of the United States Military Telegraph Corps, which will take place in this city, on September 14th and 15th.
I am arranging for a special Pullman palace car to start from New York direct to Omaha. Mr. Dealey, manager of the Western Union Telegraph Company, and quite a number of prominent telegraph people have signified their intention to be here and I trust that you will find time to honor us with your presence. We will endeavor to make the occasion agreeable and interesting.
Please let me hear from you at your earliest convenience.
Very truly yours.
