- 15-8073. My dear Mina and Mr. Edison, I was maid glad this morning while at the Breakfast tables by having a very good and loving letter handed me from my dear Mina my dear did I even thank you for those nice lot of flowers that you sent me. Will Grace if I did I met again for I do think they were so pretty and it was so kind of you to send them. I do hope you are having good lunck with your greenhouse and in fact everything else we are all the time talking greenhouse and garden. I get very tired of so much such talk when Mrs. Lake is over hear, that is, most every night we talk socials. Mr. Vincent is opposed to money church socales. He will not have them and you know that Is what pa and Mrs. Lake [gres?] for it is a grate trial for them to give such socales up. I would like if you feel able to tell us how they get money to [pay? Say?] there little [wordes? Candles?] in the church your church how they raises it. We are in debt and do not know how to get out only by having pay socales . Please let us know how your folkes do at your church. Pa and Mrs/ Lake work every night almost at there [book? Pool?] Pa thinkes it will take nearly all spring. It is a grater piece of work than he thought when he comenced. It will be good when finished. We are going to have our old peanio exchanged for an upright and give it to Robbie his birthday. What do you think of that? You remember it is in Graceys room and we want to put a long bed in there and it is so crouded when both are in there. Gracey does not like her room and we have another place to set it so we thought it might please Robbieor Louies aught to write to you after you tried and did make it so plesent for them while they were with you in the [south? Soull?] so many times. I think Robbie feels a little slited as we don't go downe very much. They do not come up hear. I have not ben downe but once. The reason was they had a house full and was going out all the time. I did not feel like going downe as I might be in the way and would not want to go out as much as they did so I staid at home. I do not want to go where I will make any difference in the family arrangementes. I do not want to be in the way any place. Sometimes I feel as though things would be more pleasant and in better order hear at home if I was not hear but I must have some place to stay for a short time. I trust so I try to be contented and try to do what little I can to make myself liked. If I cannot be loved. That was loved is a [little?] to strong as we are not to love any one better than the all {Thes? Sies? Thies?] he that doeth all things well and right. I am glad my darling is trying to be contented and doing to others as she would have them to her. It is the only happy way to live, the only way to do any good or gain what we most love. O how easy to write if we could live as easy/. What an easy life, ah to easy it would not good. ## Well dear Mina, as I am a poor worthless Mother [just?] now and it makes me feel a little tired to write as I am, I will close Mina. Grace is by my side laughing at me just as hard as she can , don't you she aught to be put in the closet for the day. My [feet?] all right in a little line don't you think Grace's a naughty girl, dear Mina Theodor's hat is all right, he says he never had as good a one before. He is very anxious to get a letter from you. I wish you felt able to write to him. They are quite busy with the paper. We are all well and do hope all are well at your dear home. Please give my love to [dot?] and the boys and please will Mr. Edison to receive my love and best wishes from Mother. PS--Dear Mina, please do not worry about those boardes. They will come all right as time. I do hhank you for your kindness in going to so much trubble for us. Theodor with me thank you for his hat. Please except thankes. If we do not mention it when we should I do feel thankful but often forget to write thankes when I am writing. Please not worry about my wig, everything will right in dew time. Goodby, love and good wishes from Mother.
