Title
[HM88AAQ], Minutes, Edison Phonograph Co, September 11th, 1888
Editor's Notes
Copy of Minutes of Edison Phonograph Co. Directors Meeting Concerning Gilliland’s Company Contract. The Board cancels Mr. Gilliland’s contract because Gilliland is attempting to sell his contract to a Mr. Lippincott, in violation of the “essence” of their agreement. They resolve to stop payment to Mr. Gilliland and resort to legal action to recover any money already paid. Mr. Edison is granted the contract that is taken away from Gilliland, and is given the right to sell it or dispose of it if he so chooses.
