Summary: This is a one page typed copy of the contract in which Ezra Gilliland sold his contract with the Edison Phonograph Company to Jesse Lippincott, for one dollar and “other valuable considerations,” provided that if Lippincott fails to purchase Gilliland’s stock in the American Phonograph Company, then Lippincott will only obtain the right and interest proportional to the amount actually paid out of the $250,000 he owes.
