Summary: This is a memorandum of agreement, between the Edison Phonograph Toy Manufacturing co and William Hope Dean of Toronto, Canada First, The Toy Co agrees to give Dean an exclusive license to sell its talking dolls or other phonographic toys for the dominion of Canada and Newfoundland for a term of five years. Second, The Toy Co agrees to deliver its dolls or other phonographc toys to its factories in the US at cost including royalties. Third, Dean agrees to take not less than $10,000 per year for a period of five years and further agrees to pay in addition to the cost (including royalties) the sum of one dollar for each doll.
