- recd cable about Bell people putting on injunction on our receivers with magnet. However it is perhaps best that Bells patent be sustained because if left open to the public(?) it might damage us . . . The new receiver is such an enormous advance in telegraphy. . . In fact with the carbon transmitter and this receiver we have control of telephony for the future, so be careful . . . (expts with light)
