- Sent in Edison hand writing Copy of letter sent. Friend Rowland I think you misunderstand my letter. I will make out the patent papers drawings etc. all that I desire is a brief sketch of connections descriptions field magnet shape polar extremity commutator brush shape of it nature of brush kind of base that it is on whether connected as a Dynamo or otherwise please have the field magnet and every part you can sent us. We have received the armatuer all right After we send you the applicaiton to sign please give us a brief of dates and results and collect all sketches and memorandum of results and writings and keep the same in your posssesion as powder for the enemy we will give them a warm fight
