- thanks for his kindness to poor Segredor, death was a shock, notes that he had only been out of hospital one month after serious illness when he left for Havana although cautioned not to "I have not as yet determined what to do in regard to filling his place. I have a man now, enroute from San Fran for Japan to get cane and also have two parties engaged in South America so that I am pretty sure of getting an abundant supply soon."
