- Editor's Notes
- As the foundations for the sole-plate are approaching completion and we wish to put in the pipes and be ready for connecting when the engine is received I wish some information regarding detias. Will you send therefore a drawing of cylinder giving the details of the admission and exhaust pipes, with exact dimensions? I give diagrams of construction of cylinder to exhast pipe. Which do you prefer or have you some different plan? [drawings follow] In my last letter I stated that is it proposed to pass the exhaust through a Berryman-Feed-Water Heater. The proposed plan of connecitons is shown in diagram-- [diagram follows] Have you a different plan to suggest? During a trial for economy the Brown Engine will not run. When the time comes can you furnish us with an engineer? We would prefer you to do so, but if we have to find the engineer he must first pass your examination and be endorsed by you.
