Your memo June 1st I return you herewith [---] notes & enclosed you a letter addressed to me by R. N. Dyer and on same same subject.## I should not say anything to anybody about that Canadian Patent expiring especially to the Gramme Co.## I did offer to[--] up a Building for Anderson some time ago Of course I would like to get rid of the trouble but if essential I will do it.## I will [see] or at a list of the things to be taken away from here belonging to the Light Co is supplied you in due course## Your memo of June 2nd 1882 Insull had already written [Easton?] for exact information as to the caps & Norway & Sweden plant. The only way to get this information is for Insull to keep up a [private] correspondence with Gouraud & other of his London friends. He [was] this[as] far as is possible for him he is at all times willing to give you the benefit of any [argument] he may get in this manner## Many thanks for the proof of the Stager contract.## I want another 8 x 20 copies just as early as possible. I [think] that [Troone?] should be instructed to take some pains to get me this considering the way he has troubled me about the Engine so often [previous?] and just [attained]. What I complain of in him is that he submitted one thing & did another.##I took up the question of the Bill on Patent rights, now before the Senate some weeks back having heard of it through Painter. I wrote a strong letter to him (that he might use if necessary he has great hopes of killing the Bill. He writes me this a.m. as follows on this subject & the Report from Phila [with]##Report from Washington D.C. 4th June Personal my [also] [Carson]##The dept of the Mint at Phila has not yet [replied] [to] [the] letter of the Directors of the board. The Supt is away from his office and his subordinates do not like to take the responsibility of admitting the failure to [---] the report I will not let up on it until I get it some [---] [others].##I think we can still [--] [clause] Resolution to and [prove] infringes##I have your letter [of] [get] as to German contract I shall keep this with [c---] until I get the remainder of the translation
