- I have gone over your several letters with mr Edison. I inclose affidavit prepared for use in Case 178 and forwarded by your letter of May 1st [st].##In regard to Canadian Case no. 16. you had better make the division required as set put in your of 5th ult on that subject.##I note the information contained in your letters of 10th ult and 13th inst. relating to German Case no. 8. Case no. [28] referred to in your letters of 10th ult. and 13th. inst mr Edison approves of the course of your correspondents and thinks the patent should be obtained on specific matter##In regard to German Case no. 15, referred to in your letter of 13th inst. you can take the claims allowed. I understand that one of them covers the compensating resistance, which is the most important point in the case.
