In reply to yours of 16th I enclose you herewith the only copy of the Manchester Co prospectus we have. You can keep it until we call upon you for it. The Directors are all very prominent [m---] men - leaders alike in commercial and political life.##I have not seen a prospectus of the London Co but I have today written to London for copies & requested our friend there to send us half a dozen prospectuses of any Coy they may bring out. I have also written to [news] agents in London who have attended to and Telephone & Electric Light newspaper puffing for three years to send us two copies of papers containing matters of interest to us on these subjects.##You of course are welcome to the benefit of this so we shall still be kept posted although Johnson will not be there.##We have today received a telegram from London stating that Johnson sails on
