I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letters of the 29th ult and 6th inst. and also copies of patents. I have not looked into these matters yet, but will as soon as I can catch Mr Edison. I wish to thank you for the copy of your phamphlet of notes.##Lease 54##I inclose provisional and complete specn and drawings in this case. The Continental case (no. 44) I have forwarded this day to Paris.##I wish to call your attention to points described but not shown and I have attached to the paper a sheet of rough sketches, so that you can illustrate the devises if yiu think it desirable.##Page 2 - 14th l. "Electro-motors may be used for producing the counter electromotive force." This is shown in sketch No. [1]. There would be a motor for each secondary battry shown in figure [1].##Page 5, 2d l. Shunt to cut out secondary battery or combined motor and generator. This is shown in sketches nos. 2 and 3. Page 8, 3d l. Dividing tension in lamp circuit on the same principle that is used in main circuit. This is shown in sketches nos 4 and 5##Case 55 and 56##I also forward specns and drawings in these two cases, in which I think all features described are shown.
