Referring to your letter of 20th inst I decidedly think it indispensable that Fabbri & Chauncey should bear the expense of the first plant erected in India to illustrate my invention. That is one of the principal reasons for giving him [that] Contract [illegible] the Light for India by the [illegible] of about $420
