- Your favor of 18th inst came duly to hand and I at once sent you a set of the Bulletin as requested.##I think you are mistaken as to gas being safe from attacks by electricity. So far our experiments in actual practice have shown that we can compete with gas at the same price and it is further shown that if necessary the public will gladly pay 50% more for the same quantity of light produced by my incandescent lamp than you would have to pay for gas. Furthermore the margin for future improvement is far greater in the case of Electric Light than in that of gas.##When you are next in the City if you will give me a call I shall be glad to have a talk with you on this subject and show you something of what we have done
