- Editor's Notes
- Both myself & Mr Edison have written you on the subject of Electric Light for Hawaiian Islands and we have kept the enclosed [--] from J. C. Merrill & Co [with] [might] [hear] from you as we preferred to put the business entirely in your hands & intended referring J. C. M & Co to you.##Will you please see them [and] make such a reply to them as you may think advisable.##We are now preparing to instal Village Plants here in the East & as soon as your shops put in [these] first Tender I will send you a copy of it & explain all the circumstances in connection [to it --].##I enclose you a rough estimate made by Mr Edison for a Village Plant for Brockton Mass. This is of course to a certain extent theoretical but Mr Moore the General Manager of our Isolated Co says he thinks from the experience of the first Village Plant at Roselle that there is more money to be made in it that Mr Edisons estimate states##Hoping that Mr Edison or myself will hear from you on the subject of the Hawaiian Islands very shortly
