Title
[LB016049], Letter from Samuel Insull to Edison's Indian and Colonial Electric Co, March 29th, 1883
Editor's Notes
we have recently seen samples of covered wire as used in Europe for "Inside wiring" the insulation of which is greatly inferior to that used by us in our work here. If you ship the wire used in your Colonial Installations from England we think we can make arrangements for you to get a far better wire with better insulation certainly as cheap, & possibly cheaper, than you now buy it in London. Will you please send us samples (by mail) & prices of the wire you use & we will see what prices we can obtain for you.##I have asked the manufacturers for samples of their wire which I hope to be able to send you next week.##PS. Yours of 8th inst will be answered as soon as we have the data on which to base a reply
