- Editor's Notes
- I telegraphed you this morning as follows: "How about payment Four Thousand Eight Hundred and Two dollars and Twenty Five Cents ($4802.25) due on the 3rd. Answer."##If you refer to the contract with me dated 4th May you will find that your Company were to pay me $4802.25 within thirty days of the signing of the agreement. The thirty days expired on the [7th] inst a Sunday and money was therefore due on Saturday but up to this writing I have heard nothing with relation to the matter from you. The understanding outside the exact wording of the agreement was that the money should be paid at the latest within thirty days and as soon before that as possible. I therefore suggest that your Company forward me draft for the above amount forthwith.
