- Referring to your favors of the 5th & 6th it would be quite impossible for me to go up tomorrow to Stratford. I understnd however that Mr Hastings is going and he will be fully posted and can give you all the information you require.##Bernstein of Boston has nothing in the way of an electric light that is of a practicable character; Mr Hastings will be able to tell you all about this. We have had his lamps and tested them and know exactly what they will do. I do not think that he wants to see me. He tried to sell me an arc light at one time which was no use and I dont think he would offer me anything else.
