- Title
- [LB018166], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Thomas Peters Conant, July 25th, 1884
- Editor's Notes
- I have your favor of the 22nd. July.##The lamp referred to is manufactured by Messrs. Woodhouse & Rawson, of London, and is one of the numerous infringements manufactured in England. These lamps will have to be imported from England, and are subject to a duty of forty five per cent, so you can imagine how impossible it would be for the gas company to use them to compete with us on a money making basis.
