- Editor's Notes
- "A cable, addressed to The Edison Electric Light Co., was received on March 9th., as follows, "Meeting Gower Hall twenty third proxies to Charles ?urtoys first mail or worthless". Owing to the way this cable was addressed it was delivered to the offices of the The Edison Electric Light Co., and it was only by accident that I came I came across it yesterday. Mr. Edison is absent in the South on a shooting trip, and beyond reach of mail or telegraph. It is no doubt entirely too late to send the proxies now, but immediately he returns, which will probably be in the course of a month, I will bring to his notice correspondence as to then Gower-Bell Telephone affairs, and get him to write you with relation to them."
