Title
[LB020257I], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Societe d'Appareillage Electrique, May 5th, 1885
Editor's Notes
"I am extremely obliged to you for your favor of the 31st. March, and in reply would state that I did not desire, in my letter to you of the 9th. March, to convey to you the impression that I thought you were in any way transgressing the rights of the German Edison Co. I simply referred their communication to you for explanation, and am, myself, perfectly satisfied with what you state in relation to the matter. If any efforts are made to invade the rights you have received from me, I would pray you notify me immediately, and I will take the same measures to protect you that I would in the case of any other company operating my inventions. Thanking you for your explanations in relation ot the matter, I remain"
