- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of the 3rd. Inst. Came duly to hand. When I was Cincinnatti last I intended to go down to your office the day after I saw you, but we had a lot of women folks with our party [Marion, Gilliland's wife], I got flurried and forgot all about the appointment. I am expecting to be in Cincinnati before the summer is out and when I do get there, it is my intention to sit in your office and talk you to death. If the lightning arrester which we designed for the village plant business is used, it is impossible for any accident to occur. Of course no instrument constructed will provide against the carelessness of man.
