- Your two letters addressed to Mr. Edison came duly to hand, and I at once handed them to him as he is absent from the city for the summer months. I have since got a reply from requesting me to use all influence possible to bring about such an arrangement has been made. It was the cause of very great regret to Mr. Edison and myself that the business arranged last year should have fallen through, but this was caused by circumstances over which we had no control. ##I would beg to assure you of the high regard entertained both by Mr. Edison and myself for you, and that all time we shall be only too anxious to use our best endeavors to forward your wishes.
