- Editor's Notes
- Your esteemed favor of August 8th came duly to hand and I am very much obliged for the information it contains and the good wishes you express with relation to our business. All the troubles you speak of are I think now practically at an end. Mr. W. N. Stewart sailed a few days back for Chile having concluded arrangements by which our business in the future will be conducted by the hosue of Grace & Co., Mr. Stewart being a partner to the arrangement at whose earnest request the same was made. I do not think that you will have any further complaints with relation to the conduct of our business in Chile as Mr. Stewart's arrangements so recently made will I think obviate all future difficulties. I am very glad to note the extremely good opinion that you seem to have of Mr. Stewart, and I can assure you that he enjoys the full confidence of our Company here and of myself. Thanking you for your letter, and hoping to hear from you again, I remain.
