- Editor's Notes
- Mr. Edison, on leaving town on Saturday night, requested me to communicate with you with relation to the test he proposes to make at Staten Island tomorrow in connection with the Railroad Telegraph Apparatus. Mr. Edison received through one of our assistants your message stating that you would like to entertain him and his party at lunch. There will be about 12 of them altogether at the outside and possibly not more than 8. The party will be composed of Mr. Edison, one of the partners and friends of Messrs Seligman & Co., Dr. Crowell and one or two others. They will go down on the boat leaving the slip at one o'clock tomorrow. If you would like to meet them at the Clifton Landing, will you please let me hear from you and I will advise Mr. Edison on his return to the City tomorrow morning.
