- Referring to my interviews of yesterday with your Mr. Stevens, I beg to state that in the event of your giving us a contract for the plant for the Emperor of Korea{?} (estimate for which was forwarded to {------} {-------}), Mr. Edison will pay you a commission of 15% (fifteen per cent) on the gross estimate ($16,000), said commission to be paid {---} of the second payment to be made to Mr. Edison. The understanding I had with Mr. Stevens was that if you gave us the contract, you will be responsible to Mr. Edison for payment due under it. ##P.S.
