Mr. Edison saw the enclosed just as he was leaving for Boston last night. He desired me to return them and to say that Tate is simply meeting with difficulties such as usually occur when trying an invention for the first time outside the laboratory. ##Mr. Edison will communicate with you on the subject of the patent you wrote him about as soon as he can get some {--------} from the Patent Office.
