- I must apologize for having overlooked your favor of the 18th inst. ##I have done everything possible with relation to the Paris Consolidation. I understand that there is some slight hitch between the Paris Companies and the German Company at the present time. I do not doubt but {t}hat eventually they will settle the matter, and that we will get the 25,000 Marks which is to come to us as per arrangement with Mr. Siegel. I have not heard of any price on the bonds. In fact, I doubt if there have been any transactions lately. I believe some were offered for sale by auction a month or so back.
