Editor's Notes: Referring to your favor of 3rd, I saw your brother here on Saturday and explained to him that Mr. Edison agreed on the contract as to Arc{?} Light carbons before he left, but that we could not get the contract signed because of some legal obstacles raised by our lawyer. It will therefore have to wiat now till he (Mr. Edison) returns to New York, which will be in about five weeks. Meantime, the experiments are being pushed ahead and I hope that soon after Mr. Edison's return, some substantial results will be obtained.
