- Editor's Notes
- Referring to the circuit which we have in Canada, which was installed for the purpose of demonstrating to you the working of the Phonoplex System, I wish you would kindly inform me what your decision is in reference to additional circuits--also whether you desire to retain the instrumetns you are now using. ## Through Mr Wiman we made you a proposition regarding royalty, and placed the same at one half the amount charged in the United States. Viz. Fifty Dollars ($50) per year per circuit, but the latter gentleman has not advised us of your views. Mr Wiman being now in Europe I write thus direct to you as, having dispensed with the efficient services of Mr Pike, we are now not represented in Canada. ## I take this opportunity of informing you that we have applied the phonoplex system to quadruplex [word underlined] wires and are running a circuit between N.Y. and Philadelphia on the lines of the B&O Telegraph Company, who also have a number of circuits on simple morse wires. ## We are also prepared to equip duplex wires in the same way. ## I shall be pleased to hear from you at your earliest convenience. Yours truly
