Editor's Notes

Re yours 18th inst, I came Mr. Coster this monring and he says that the sale of Illuminating stock is not a question of one or two points. He states that when a purchaser came into the market he is first no willing to pay 104 3/x for the stock as he would be to pay 102 or 103. The rapidity with which these sales are made depends upon the demand and he does not believe the market can be forced by reducing the price as you have suggested. ## I cabled Gouraud as instructed by you. ## I can send you some correspondence which may assist you in the conception of Gouraud's object. ## I wired you re Sprague. He refueses to make any further payments until after your a/c's and his are balanced. After which I understand he intends adopting the voucher system and paying after the manner of the United Co's.
